Alison Wright is an English actor from England. She is best known for her leading role as Martha Hanson on the FX historical spy drama The Americans, for which she won critical acclaim as well as a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in the year 2017. She also acted as Bette & Joan & Hollywood in Ryan Murphy's limited series Feud. Wright was adopted by her parents, was born in Sunderland in the year 1976. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and The Barrow Group in New York City. The job of waitressing was where she worked as she auditioned for role. Divers who was injured, she ended up in an in-hospital coma following a heart accident in the sea.
